Richard James Neal age 73 of Ellijay, GA passed Wednesday January 2, 2019.Mr. Neal was born May 16, 1945 in Gilmer County. He was in maintenance for Ellijay Telephone Company. Mr. Neal is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Anita Davis Neal and father, Truman Neal.Survivors Include: his mother, Rosie Neal, of Ellijay, GA; son, Jeff Neal, of Loxley, FL; stepdaughter, Jennifer Sosebee, of Crandall, GA; brother, Lloyd Neal, of Cherrylog, GA; sisters, Peggy Jannett, of Athens, GA, Cathy Ballew, of Chatsworth, GA and Karen Wright, of Ellijay, GA; 4 grandchildren, David Hosier, Logan Rice, Justin Neal and Hope Neal. 2 great grandchildren, Clarissa Hosier and Cambryah Hosier.Funeral Services will be Sunday January 6th at 2pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Emuel Sanford officiating. Interment will follow in the Yukon Cemetery.The family will receive friends Saturday January 5th from 4pm until 9pm at the funeral home.
